Egyptian Electronic Waste Recycling Company (EERC), represented by Eng. Ahmed Salem, Chairman, participated on September 8, 2024 at the Marriott Hotel in the Green Community Forum with the participation of ministers, officials, and 250 heads of companies and economic institutions.

Green transformation leaders foresee new horizons for renewable energy and sustainable development Activities of the third session of the “Green Community Forum” under the title “Green Economy.. Next Steps”, which addresses the most prominent developments in the field of the green economy, with a focus on renewable energy, green hydrogen production, hydropower, and industrial modernization.

The forum activities began with welcoming speeches by media professional Ayser Al-Hamdi, Chairman of the “ Alam Almal ” Foundation and Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Sherif El-Gebali, Chairman of the African Affairs Committee in the Parliament Honorary Chairman of the Forum and Hesham El-Gamal, Chairman of the Solar Energy Investors Association in Benban – Chairman of the third session of the Green Community Forum The keynote speeches of the forum were delivered by His Excellency Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority, and Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The opening session was titled “What does the Egyptian economy benefit from the green transformation? What are the next steps?”, which discussed ways of cooperation between the government, the private sector and civil society in achieving the green transformation, investment opportunities and potential returns from the green economy.

The opening session will be attended by Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, Dr. Fakhry Al-Fiqi, Chairman of the Planning and Budget Committee in the Parliament , Dr. Sherif Al-Gabali, Chairman of the African Affairs Committee in the Parliament and Eng. Abdel Salam Al-Gabali, Chairman of the Agriculture and Irrigation Committee in the Senate. The session will be moderated by Mohamed Al-Najjar, Editor in Chief of Alam Al-Mal newspaper.
